in the north of Mull. We are within 10 minutes walk of the village
where you may visit the shop and post office. |
| The beautiful Isle of Mull, now getting the name of
Eagle Island, lies off the west coast of Scotland. The islands main
town is Tobermory, made famous by the television shows of Balamory
and Spring Watch. The island is filled with contracts - high mountains
and deep misty glens; peaceful white sandy beaches and rocky shores
and green hillsides with jewel-bright flowers. |

Mull has something to please everyone. The artist and photographer
will find a multitude of picturesque places to capture in their own
way. The nature lover will be astonished at the huge variety of flora
and fauna. You can see the famous White Tailed Sea Eagle , Golden
Eagle , Otters , Dolphins , Seals , Whales to name just a few. This
is a birdwatchers paradise. Hill walking or pony trekking; sailing
, fishing or diving these are here for you to enjoy. |
| Possibilities
for day trips are endless - the sacred Isle of Iona is a short ferry
journey from Fionnphort in the Ross of Mull . Staffa with Fingal's
cave and the Treshnish Isles , famous for their birdlife , are easily
reached from Mull. There are many historic beauty spots like Torosay
Castle with it's minature railway and Duart Castle , ancient seat
of the MacLeans. |

Close to Dervaig are the
lovely white sands of Calgary Bay, with a sheltered beach and shallow
clear blue waters, this is the perfect location for a relaxing day.
There is only the Atlantic Ocean between you and North America! |
